This version of Le Nozze Di Figaro is my absolute favorite. The acting is superb throughout, and the voices are fantastic. Gilfry in particular steals the show, which is no small feat given how good everyone else is. Gilfry's Almaviva has become my favorite.

What a stupendous performance by Bryn Terfel. Impeccable as singer, at the same time displaying all the inflections expected of an actor in this famous aria. If he ever faced any serious competition from other opera singers, we can now see from this video it has been clearly disbanded.

Oh no, I don't believe a word he's singing about for a moment. Far too declamatory. On the other hand I'm totally convinced by the mesmerising performance of this piece by Gerald Fnley. The latter is sumptuous in his measured subtlety and seductiveness - utter perfection.
